Kids will be kids!

As grown ups, we understand the importance of things we buy, we are gifted and even things which we find. But as children, the things are slightly different. There may be times when kids take a lot of time and effort to understand the value of things. We are more than happy to give our kids the best of everything, but many times they lose the novelty of things very fast.
So it is very important that slowly but surely, we imbibe the values in them to appreciate things and gifts they get. So many times it happens that on their birthday or maybe just like that, grandparents or close friends get them new toys or a pair of kids earrings or something new, and they forget the toy bought for them maybe just a week back. Kids will always be kids and we cannot expect them to have the kind of maturity adults do.
So the best thing to do is to teach them the effort taken to procure these gifts or toys and to make them in many ways relate to the article. If it is something cute like a cute kids pendant with a animal design and a matching box or a racing car with a remote control or something on those lines, it will hold the importance in their eyes, if we sit them and discuss the products, make a story around it or play with them with the toy.
So in the end, it is just a game of luck, if the gift or items of value stick by them and they give it importance, but we as parents must keep trying new innovative ways for them to do so.
